Mini Raft Hire

Find out more about the services we offer for below.

Welcome to our new service of full day mini-raft hire in Ironbridge Gorge! If you are looking for a fun filled adventure under your own steam then this is the activity for you. Our mini 10ft rafts fit between 4-6 people and are modeled on our largest rafts in the UK. You can hire these just like you would a canoe or kayak on our full day river Severn Atcham to Ironbridge route finishing by our little green kiosk in the Wharfage car park (TF8 7NH).

These are great for corporate trips, friends and families or a good old stag or hen do.

You have an all day experience paddling through the beautiful Shropshire countryside. We even throw in a cooler for your picnic along the way too.

River Raft Tours

You can park for the full day in Dale End car park (TF8 7BS) and we are then a 2 minute walk to the Wharfage car park (TF8 7NH) where we meet at 8.50am. We then fit you with a buoyancy aid and finish off the paperwork stating you have paddled before. After a short 15 minute trip in our minibus you are on the water for your full day on the river Severn. Take in the gorgeous sites along the way and enjoy the beautiful wildlife of the kingfishers, wagtails, swans and deer to experience an idyllic trip returning to Ironbridge by 5pm. There are plenty of pebble beaches along the way as you pass by Cressage and Buildwas on your 15 mile trip.

Take time to enjoy your picnic so pack plenty of sandwiches and cold drinks!

Mini-rafts can be hired with a minimum of 3 people. Full terms and conditions can be seen below and also on the reservation form by clicking on BOOK HERE at the top of the page. Minimum age is 4 as we do not allow any whitewater rapids to be run in these mini-rafts.

Health and Safety guidelines, rules and regulations
The safety and enjoyment of your trip are dependent on both river and weather on your chosen trip day. We will not allow any trips to proceed when severe conditions are occurring or expected. Heavy rainfall over the days leading up to your trip date affects the river levels especially rainfall over the Welsh mountains some two days before departure. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions relating to your mini-raft, other equipment and the River Severn. If you or any of your party have any health issues, this should be discussed first and us made aware of these conditions. In certain circumstances we may discourage you from taking part in the event. Anyone with a history of epilepsy should not participate in this activity. Maximum weight per mini-raft is 75 stone. Children under the age of 4 years are not allowed in the mini-raft. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age to hire is 18.
