Hi Folks.
Very hard times ahead for many of the Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale, Jackfield, Buildwas and Coalport residents with houses and businesses underwater numerous times this season. We as one of the businesses have found this time very trying too with our Autumn/Winter/Spring business trade slumping heavily.
But here’s the thing….. Everyone in the gorge knows the river will flood every so often. So this is the message to all of us involved. Take solace in your friends, family and neighbours who have taken the time to help the homes and businesses affected. Unfortunately, we will flood again but we will hopefully see the same high response of help from the local community.
Well done to all volunteers, council employees, local residents and the rescue services who helped during this difficult time.
