Dead of winter with Christmas and New Year and the down time out of season can be frustrating. What to do? Well this came from one of our guides who has seen this in practice in other countries.
During half term, parents are always looking for things to fill their children’s time and child care can be expensive and a nightmare to find so why not combine both?
Raft school would combine a 5 day week Monday to Friday to put children through a fun week of negotiating all our different water based activities. They can learn to guide the largest rafts in the UK by oars one day, then be stood on a Mega stand up paddle board with 7 other new friends showing their team work. We also include time in canoes, sit on top kayaks, mini-rafts and land based activities.
The focus of this type of week or a minimum of 2 days participating would be to increase the child’s confidence, increase their level of competency on the water, make new friends and have a super time!
This will take time to develop and feedback we have received so far has been positive to implement such a scheme.
Call us for further information on these weeks we are looking to introduce in the future.
