Spent a weekend in Ironbridge in August and hired a mini raft. Booking was super easy, transport to the start point was... included (extremely covid secure minibus transport with a screen separating us from the driver). All equipment was clean and we spent a leisurely few hours paddling back to Ironbridge. Lucky to see a kingfisher and even some deer (so cute!). Couple running the firm were super friendly and we had such a fab time we came back on the Sunday and hired bikes for a ride to Bridgenorth where we enjoyed a spot of lunch. They had numerous recommendations for us on places to eat and drink (spoilt for choice!) and great local knowledge of interesting places to visit. Super covid secure set up and felt completely safe at all times. Highly recommend to anyone in the area and we’ll definitely be back again. Thank you!!read more

Me and my girls done the mini raft, was absolutely amazing from start to finish it took around 3 hours, so you get a... long time on the river, you get to see lots of wildlife along the way. Nigel and Sharon are lovely, very professional at what they do and they do it brilliant, My girls loved it and can not wait to do it again. Thank you 😊.read more

I booked a canoe for for an hour for a person I support. I booked over the phone and got a slot at lunch time. We both... enjoyed a pleasant paddle up the Severn from Ironbridge, past the old power plant up to Buildwas. It was a lovely quiet stretch of river and we were lucky enough to see kingfishers darting along the banks. The staff were really friendly and it was a very easy and straightforward process to get launched. I would highly recommend this as a unique way to view the Ironbridge and River Severn that flows through.read more

We were a mixed age group of 4 adults and 2 children, we phoned on spec on Monday morning and were fitted in with... canoeing that afternoon. The person on the phone was very friendly and helpful, telling us of the different options available and the prices. There was no hard sell. We met as arranged, in the carpark at the river and were given our life jackets and a safety talk then taken down to our canoes. Everything was contactless and we felt very safe at all times. We hired 2 canoes for 1 hour and had a lovely time going up and down the river. It was great fun and we all enjoyed the experience, the company even took some photos and emailed them to us as a memento of our day. I would definitely recommend this company, they were professional, friendly and helpful at all times and it was a wonderful way to see Ironbridgeread more

Hired the raft to go down the Rapids, had great fun & even took on the challenge of trying to paddle back up the river,... needless to say we didn't get to far. This did only take an hour but was certainly worth the money we spent. Both instructors were very knowledgeable & friendly, would definitely recommend for all ages.read more

We hired a family canoe from Ironbridge and paddled along the Severn. Fantastic way to experience the river and... Ironbridge, and really well organised and run (especially at the moment with social distancing). Thanks so much for a great trip, we would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone.read more

The guided tour on their large raft - billed as a bit of an adventure - really rather is a relaxed afternoon cruise ...... ok if you want to learn a bit about the beautiful gorge, not great if you want to experience the river ...read more

Booked the raft guided trip last minute, 2 adults and 6 children aged 10-13. Wasn’t really sure what to expect...... totally exceeded our expectations! Our guide Nigel was an absolute superstar! Kept all the children totally entertained and amused the whole time and us adults! (Who are just 2 extra big kids). We really enjoyed listening to Nigel’s funny stories and the history about the area. Highlight was letting us take turns with the oars and being ‘baptised’ in the river!! For once, we found an activity everyone enjoyed, the kids were still talking about it hours later. Thank you very much for your hospitality and for a very fun ending to our short camping trip. We will most definitely be back and would highly recommend to everyone!read more

Sorry for the late review. We went to Shropshire for half term Feb 16th 2019. While researching before we left... Folkestone on Friday night we were looking for something to do and I noticed that at 8:45pm Shropshire Raft Tours said 'Open'. I called the number and the fact that it was answered I knew we were on to a good thing! Nigel was friendly on the phone and we agreed that we would go on a tour the next morning. When we arrived Sharon was pumping up the raft and Nigel warmly greeted us. He put us at ease and we joined a small party to start our tour. The tour was excellent, lots of information and great views facilitated by Nigel's navigation expertise! We had a really fun time with some excitement at the 'whitewater' section which was quite tame but enjoyable. Sharon was there to meet us at the end and we were bused back to the car park. The great customer service reached a conclusion when Sharon kindly sent us some free photographs of the day! Thank you very much. I will recommend this tour to everyone! Gerry D'cruzread more

Whilst searching TripAdvisor for things to do in Shropshire, this raft tour company came up. The online booking process... was easy and the website was very informative. When we arrived at the car park, we were greeted by Nigel and his partner and another customer for the raft tour. They were very welcome and we enjoyed a little chat whilst putting our buoyancy aids on and waited for the last of the customers to arrive. There was a toddler, his mother and her friend on the tour with us and Nigel was very patient with him and included him in the tour by letting him have a go at moving the oars. Nigel told us about the fascinating history of Ironbridge and also stories of his time working in Canada. Nigel also kept us entertained by telling us stories from previous raft tours he had done. The bridge itself was still having construction work done on it during our visit but this didn't hinder our enjoyment of the tour. Highly recommend this tour to see the beautiful countryside from the river. Will return in the future when the bridge has been restored to its former glory.read more
